Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Shotec Citadel Schools (“the School”), its students, parents, guardians, staff, and visitors. By enrolling a child in the School or using any of our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1. Introduction
Shotec Citadel Schools is committed to providing quality education in a safe, supportive, and disciplined learning environment. These Terms and Conditions are established to ensure the smooth operation of the School and to protect the rights and responsibilities of all members of the school community.
2. Admission and Enrollment
Admission is granted based on the successful completion of the School’s admission requirements, including entrance examinations and interviews where applicable.
The School reserves the right to accept or reject any application without obligation to provide reasons.
All information provided during admission must be accurate and complete.
Parents or guardians must submit all required documents before admission is finalized.
The School reserves the right to withdraw admission if false information is discovered.
3. School Fees and Payments
School fees and other charges must be paid on or before the specified due dates.
Failure to pay fees may result in the suspension of classes, examinations, access to school facilities, or withholding of academic records.
All fees paid are generally non-refundable except where otherwise approved by management.
The School reserves the right to review and adjust fees when necessary.
Additional charges may apply for extracurricular activities, excursions, uniforms, textbooks, transportation, boarding, and special programs.
4. Attendance and Punctuality
Students are expected to attend school regularly and punctually.
Parents must notify the School of any absence and provide valid reasons where required.
Extended absences may affect academic performance and may require special approval from the School.
Students arriving late repeatedly may be subject to disciplinary measures.
5. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
Demonstrate respect toward staff, fellow students, and visitors.
Uphold the values and reputation of the School.
Maintain honesty, integrity, and good moral conduct.
Comply with all school rules and regulations.
Protect school property and facilities.
The following are prohibited:
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.
Fighting, violence, or threatening behavior.
Possession of weapons, dangerous objects, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or prohibited substances.
Examination malpractice or academic dishonesty.
Vandalism or destruction of school property.
Any conduct that may bring the School into disrepute.
The School reserves the right to apply disciplinary measures, including suspension or expulsion where necessary.
6. Academic Performance
Students are expected to complete assignments, projects, assessments, and examinations as required.
Promotion to the next class is based on academic performance, attendance, and overall conduct.
The School reserves the right to provide academic intervention where necessary.
Academic records remain the property of the School.
7. Use of School Facilities and Property
Students must use school facilities responsibly.
Parents shall be liable for any deliberate damage caused by their child.
School property including books, laboratory equipment, computers, furniture, and sporting facilities must be treated with care.
The School reserves the right to restrict access to facilities when necessary.
8. Technology and Internet Usage
Students using school ICT facilities must comply with acceptable usage policies.
Access to inappropriate, offensive, illegal, or harmful online content is strictly prohibited.
The School may monitor internet usage to ensure safety and compliance.
Any misuse of school technology resources may result in disciplinary action.
9. Health and Medical Care
Parents must provide accurate medical information regarding their child.
The School may provide first aid and emergency medical assistance when necessary.
In emergencies, the School may seek professional medical treatment for a student if parents cannot be reached immediately.
Parents shall be responsible for medical expenses arising from such treatment.
Students with contagious illnesses may be required to remain at home until medically cleared.
10. Boarding Regulations (Where Applicable)
Boarding students must comply with all hostel regulations.
Boarding facilities are subject to additional rules issued by the School.
The School reserves the right to remove boarding privileges for misconduct.
Parents must ensure students bring only approved items into the boarding facility.
11. Photography, Media, and Publications
The School may photograph, record, or publish student participation in academic, sporting, cultural, and promotional activities.
Such materials may be used in school publications, websites, social media platforms, brochures, and marketing materials.
Parents who do not wish their child to appear in such materials must notify the School in writing.
12. Safety and Security
The School implements reasonable measures to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.
Parents must comply with security procedures during visits and student pick-up.
The School shall not be liable for loss of personal belongings brought onto school premises.
Students are encouraged not to bring valuables to school.
13. Parent Responsibilities
Parents and guardians agree to:
Support the educational objectives of the School.
Ensure timely payment of fees.
Maintain respectful communication with staff.
Attend meetings and school events where necessary.
Provide updated contact and emergency information.
Cooperate with the School regarding student welfare and discipline.
14. Withdrawal and Transfer
Parents wishing to withdraw a student must provide written notice.
Outstanding fees and obligations must be settled before academic records or transfer documents are released.
The School reserves the right to deny clearance until all financial obligations have been fulfilled.
15. Limitation of Liability
While the School exercises reasonable care and supervision, it shall not be liable for circumstances beyond its control.
The School shall not be responsible for losses arising from force majeure events, including natural disasters, government actions, strikes, pandemics, civil disturbances, or other unforeseen circumstances.
16. Amendments
The School reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions shall become effective upon publication or communication to parents and guardians.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
